I built an entire ecosystem around lab management: lab tools, articles and a book – this has become the foundation of my brand HeronSpecs. Based on this work I consult any tech professionals who are curious about it: What are the essential components of a lab, what needs tracking, and who are the people and roles that make a difference.

Why a physicist?
Physicists are by nature rigorous. They work until they fully understand their subject and accomplish their goal. I am no exception. Over years as a researcher, technical project manager, and patent engineer I collected a wide range of skills and expertise in fields like spectroscopy, lab instrumentation, radio astronomy and nanotechnology.
With that knowledge, I moved into lab management and career consulting – authoring a book, publishing articles, and helping scientists and tech professionals with managing their lab work, or their transition from academia to industry.
