Introduction

This portfolio highlights selected achievements from my academic research and industry experience, demonstrating the expertise and technical breadth I now bring to my freelance consulting, project management, and technical writing services.

Although I am new to freelancing, my background combines high-level scientific research, complex project management, and technical communication, making me a strong partner for scientific projects, SMEs, and research organizations.

1. Academic Expertise

Doctorate & Postdoctoral Research – Max Planck Institute of Extraterrestrial Physics

• PhD and postdoctoral research in experimental physics, molecular spectroscopy, and astrochemistry.

• Designed and implemented several experimantal set ups, including a supersonic jet spectrometer for investigating reactive molecules under high-vacuum conditions.

• Performed astronomical observations with leading global telescopes (IRAM 30m, GBT).

• Authored and co-authored peer-reviewed publications in high-impact astrophysics journals.

• Developed my own Python scripts for data analysis and gained valuable experience with numerical simulations.

• Received PhD with distinction ("summa cum laude", 0.7).

2. Industry Achievements

Project Manager & Product Owner – attocube systems AG (2021 – 2025)

• Led customer projects for cryogenic and microscope systems, managing technical planning, system production, testing and delivery coordination, as well as customer communication.

• Oversaw technical development, standardization, and optimization of vacuum shrouds, cold shields, and cryogenic parts widely used in quantum optics.

• Implemented workflow and process improvements, boosting product efficiency and ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Coordinated with international customers, ensuring smooth project delivery in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

• Managed and supervised the production, testing and shipment of highly complex scientific instrumentation.

• Optimized processes targeting product standardization and project management workflows.

3. Patent & IP Experience

Patent Engineer – Stellbrink & Partner (2020 – 2021)

• Drafted patent applications in electron microscopy and other advanced technology fields.

• Conducted background research and prior art analysis to support intellectual property strategy.
